Two Pieces of Stoneware with Incised Decoration, Manhattan, NY origin, probably Crolius Family, circa 1800, a one-gallon ovoid jug with incised and cobalt-highlighted floral motif featuring a well-detailed blossom; paired with two-gallon ovoid jar with open loop handles, decorated with incised and cobalt-highlighted Manhattan foliate motifs on the front and reverse. Jug with profuse cracking to reverse/side of jug and a 1 1/4" flake to reverse. Jar with 6 1/4" x 3 1/4" section reglued on side, including two sections of one handle reglued, minor rim chips, and heavy chipping to base. H (of jug) 11 3/4".
