Three Small Pieces of Albany-Slip-Glazed Stoneware, Thomas Family, Huntingdon, PA, circa 1875, two canning jars with "wax sealer" rims, one stamped "W.H. THOMAS. / HUNTINGDON PA," the other stamped "THOMAS & BRO." Together with a jug with tooled shoulder and spout, stamped "THOMAS & BRO / HUNTINGDON PA." Provenance: Estate of author and historian, Nancy Shedd, Petersburg, PA. Larger jar and jug purchased at Kinzle Sale Management Service, American Stoneware Pottery II, The Collection of Mr. and Mrs. Dean Reynolds, Duncansville, PA, 1976, lots 355 and 382. Jug includes Reynolds sale label on underside. Larger jar with minor rim nicks. Smaller jar with significant rim chips. Jug in excellent, essentially as-made condition. H (of smalller jar) 6 3/4" ; H (of jug) 9".
