Two-Gallon Stoneware Pitcher with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "COWDEN & WILCOX. / HARRISBURG. PA," circa 1865 ,ovoid pitcher with wide collar, decorated with a large brushed design of a flower blossom. Cobalt highlights to maker's mark and capacity mark. Desirable form and size. A professionally-restored crack from rim on pitcher's right side, beside a 2" circular restored area. Two minuscule nicks to top of spout. Some very minor traces of red paint to surface. H 12".
