Scarce Celadon-Glazed Hunt Scene Pitcher, Stamped "JOHN BELL / WAYNESBORO'," PA origin, circa 1850-1880, molded pitcher with twig-form handle and relief scenes of hounds taking down a stag and boar, composed of gray-green clay with scroddling under a clear lead glaze. Impressed with John Bell maker's mark on underside, below an impressed cross. Tight surface lines to underside, not visible on interior. A restored 6" crack in one side. A small, in-the-firing base chip, which is glazed over. H 7 3/4".
