Three Stoneware Jugs with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "J. HEISER / BUFFALO. N Y," circa 1848-1857, all of ovoid form, measuring one, two, and three gallons, each with different floral motifs and cobalt highlights to the maker's mark and capacity mark. One-gallon jug in excellent condition with minor chipping to spout, a drip of white paint to handle, and very minor chipping along bottom edge of jug. Two-gallon jug in very nice condition with minor wear around midsection, a minor in-the-firing contact mark to spout, and two minor base chip. Three-gallon jug in very nice condition with staining and hairlines to base and underside. H (of tallest) 15 1/2".
