One-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "H. MYERS," Henry Remmey or Henry H. Remmey at Henry Myers Baltimore Stoneware Manufactory, Baltimore, MD, circa 1825, cylindrical jar with footed base and squared rim, decorated around the shoulder with three conjoined flowers featuring stylized, circular blossoms. Provenance: The Estate of Susan H. Myers, author of Handcraft to Industry and former Smithsonian Curator of Ceramics and Glass. Hairlines to underside. Base chips. H 10 1/2".
