Two-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Elaborate Cobalt Floral Decoration, attributed to David Parr, Sr., Baltimore, MD, circa 1825, ovoid jar with rounded rim and arched tab handles, decorated completely around the shoulder with a stem bearing tulips and graduated leaves. Cobalt band below rim. Cobalt highlights to handle terminals. A 1" chip to one handle. Minor in-the-firing separations to handle terminals. Some typical, minor in-the-firing flaws to surface. H 11 1/2".
