Rare Small-Sized Stoneware Jug with Alkaline Glaze, Stamped "T," Shimuel Timmerman, Lanier County, GA, circa 1880, cylindrical jug with distinctive semi-rounded spout, the surface covered in a glossy green alkaline glaze with runs to one side. Handle impressed "T." Exceptional size and strong glaze. A chip to bottom of spout molding. Shallow chipping to interior of spout. A small base chip, a minor possibly in-the-firing base nick, and a minor 1 1/8" worn section to bottom edge, possibly an in-the-firing contact mark. H 9".
