Two-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "T. REED," Tuscawaras County, OH, mid 19th century, ovoid jar with flared rim and applied lug handles, decorated with a brushed tulip plant with undulating stem and large leaves. Cobalt highlights to handles. Provenance: Estate of author and historian, Nancy Shedd, Petersburg, PA; purchased by Shedd from Gerald Patton Antiques, Duncansville, PA in 1969. Numerous small rim chips. A 1" chip to underside at edge. Some grease residue where handles meet the shoulder of the jar. H 13".
