Two-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "FROM / [Mc]DONALD & BENJAMIN / CIN.O," circa 1870, cylindrical jar with tooled shoulder and semi-rounded rim, decorated with a brushed drooping floral design below a freehand stripe. Unusual maker's mark. Excellent condition with minor chipping to interior of rim, a small in-the-firing stone ping below rim on reverse, and a minor in-the-firing iron ping at base on reverse. H 11 3/4".
