Two-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jug, Stamped "C. CROLIUS, / MANUFACTURER, / NEW-YORK," circa 1820, ovoid jug with tooled spout, decorated with a brushed spotted drape motif at the shoulder. Cobalt highlights to handle terminals. A 2 1/2" area of light exfoliation to left side of jug near midsection. A small spout chip. Some dryness to glaze at shoulder. Thin crack through handle. H 14".
