Two Pieces of Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware, PA and MD origin, circa 1880, a one-and-a-half-gallon cylindrical jar with foliate decoration, stamped "R.C.R. / PHILA.," Richard C. Remmey, Philadelphia, PA; paired with a one-gallon leaf-decorated cake crock, Baltimore, MD origin. Remmey jar with some fry to cobalt, a tiny rim chip, two minor rim pings, and some water glass staining to surface. Cake crock with a small in-the-firing iron ping to handle and small rim chips. H (of Remmey jar) 11 7/8".
