Two Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Milkpans, Baltimore, MD origin, second half 19th century, both of flaring form with squared rims and pulled pouring spouts; a one-gallon example with brushed leaf decoration on the front and reverse, and a half-gallon example with eight groups of brushed swags around the body. Smaller in excellent condition with a tiny flake to top of rim, a minuscule rim nick, and a tiny in-the-firing ping to reverse. Larger with two chips to one handle, minor rim chips, and some tiny in-the-firing pings to surface. Dimensions (of smaller): 9 7/8" x 3 3/4".
