Fine Three-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Incised Floral Decoration, probably George Lent, Troy, NY, circa 1820, ovoid jug with tooled spout, decorated with an elaborate incised and cobalt-highlighted design of a tulip plant with scalloped leaves and well-detailed blossoms. Very nice condition with a faint spider line to shoulder on left side, a thin crack through handle, in-the-firing fissures at handle terminals, and a minor in-the-firing contact mark to top of handle. H 15".
