One-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration, attributed to Henry Harrison Remmey, Philadelphia, PA, circa 1835, cylindrical jar with rounded shoulder and semi-rounded rim, decorated around the shoulder with a stem bearing open-centered fruit or stylized flowers, interspersed with large leaves. Excellent, essentially as-made condition with some small in-the-firing flaws, including a tiny chip to top of rim, a smooth contact mark to shoulder, and a small ping to shoulder. H 10 1/4".
