Three-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jug, Stamped "WINE," attributed to Branch Green, Philadelphia, PA, circa 1820, ovoid jug with footed base and heavily-tooled spout, decorated at the shoulder with an unusual design of three horizontal freehand stripes. Cobalt highlight to the impressed word, "WINE." A 3/4" chip to side of spout and minor other wear to spout. A few base chips. H 16".
