Half-Gallon Stoneware Pitcher with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Baltimore, MD origin, circa 1880, ovoid pitcher with short, slightly-flared collar, decorated with a sweeping design of a flower emanating from a leafy stem. Brushed cobalt stripes to the spout. An approximately 3 1/2" diagonal Y-shaped hairline to the reverse. Two short, thin cracks from rim on reverse, one descending from a small chip. Three small in-the-making gouge marks to front, which are glazed over. H 8 1/2".
