Two Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jugs, American, 19th century, a one-gallon ovoid jug with cobalt-highlighted maker's mark and handle terminals, stamped "GOODWIN / & / WEBSTER," Hartford, CT origin, circa 1815; paired with a two-gallon ovoid jug with brushed double-tulip decoration and freehand 2" above, Midwestern origin, mid 19th century. Goodwin & Webster jug with a long spider line to one side, staining to surface, small base chips, and minor in-the-firing flaws. Other jug with two shallow spout chips and some traces of old yellow paint to surface. H (of Goodwin & Webster jug) 12".
