Two New Jersey Stoneware Jugs with Cobalt Decoration, 19th century, a two-gallon jug with floral decoration and cobalt-script "2," stamped "A.J. BUTTLER / MANUFACTURER / NEW BRUNSWICK' N.J," circa 1860; paired with a two-gallon ovoid jug with brushed triple-tulip motif, attributed to Abial Price, Middletown Point, NJ, circa 1840. Buttler jug with restoration to section of spout and base, as well as an unrestored line to base. Price jug with large, partially-colored C-shaped crack on front, extending to underside, as well as a poor restoration to spout. H (of Buttler jug) 10 3/4".
