Large-Sized Tanware Pitcher, Greensboro or New Geneva, PA origin, circa 1885, highly-ovoid pitcher with tall, flaring collar, decorated in Albany slip with a sweeping fuchsia vine design between freehand stripes. Sides of collar decorated with diagonal stem motifs. Dramatic freehand drape motif from rim. Heavy Albany slip spot decoration to handle. Albany slip highlight to upper handle terminal. Very nice condition with a thin 2 1/2" crack from rim on left side of pitcher. H 9 1/8".
