Two-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jug with Pittsburgh, PA Advertising, Western PA origin, circa 1875, cylindrical jug with tooled shoulder and spout, decorated with graduated stripes to shoulder and stenciled "GEo. W. McCLURE / FAMILY / GROCERIES / 346 / LIBERTY ST." Spout chips. Some in-the-firing surface flaws. Areas of light surface wear. Faint traces of old black paint to surface. H 14 3/4".
