One-Gallon Stoneware Pitcher with Cobalt Starburst Decoration, Lyons, NY origin, circa 1870, ovoid pitcher with flared collar, decorated with a slip-trailed design of four graduated rays emanating from a circle. A 3" hairline to base, continuing 1 1/2" onto underside. A 4" Y-shaped line at base on side of pitcher. Two minor chips to side of handle. Minor rim wear, possibly in-the-firing. Some staining to surface. H 9 3/8".
