One-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "N,CLARK JR:ATHENS," NY State origin, circa 1840, squat, ovoid jar with tooled shoulder and applied lug handles, decorated with a double-stemmed floral motif. Cobalt highlights to maker's mark and handle terminals. A 5/8" circular stone ping to front. Some fry to cobalt. A minor nick to underside at edge. H 6 3/4" ; Diam. (across top) 7 7/8".
