Two-Gallon Lidded Stoneware Jar with Iron Slip Decoration, Stamped "BOSTON.," Frederick Carpenter, Charlestown, MA, early 19th century, ovoid jar with heavily-tooled shoulder and open loop handles, decorated with dipped iron slip decoration to the upper and lower body. Lid is a later Albany slip addition. Jar with rim chips, base wear, and a small in-the-firing surface chip to shoulder on front. Lid in excellent condition with minor wear. H (including lid) 13 1/2".
