Three-Gallon Stoneware Crock with Cobalt Bird Design , Stamped "ADAM CAIRE / PO'KEEPSIE N Y," circa 1885, cylindrical crock with tooled shoulder, semi-rounded rim, and applied lug handles, decorated with a slip-trailed design of a crested bird perched on a spotted foliate motif. A 5" diagonal line on front. Some staining to surface. Two minor rim chips on reverse. H 10 1/2".
