Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Inkwell, Manhattan, NY origin, early 19th century, cylindrical form with central ink reservoir surrounded by four quill holes, the top surface covered in cobalt slip under a clear salt glaze. Chipping around base. A minor chip and tiny nick to upper edge. H 1 1/2" ; Diam. 3 3/8".
