Two Stoneware Jugs with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "P. MUGLER & CO / BUFFALO. N Y," circa 1848-1852, both of ovoid form, a two-gallon jug and a three-gallon, each decorated with a large brushed floral motif accented with spots. Cobalt highlights to maker's marks and capacity marks. Two-gallon jug with staining to surface, some fry to cobalt, a small in-the-firing contact mark to front, and minor base nicks. Three-gallon jug with staining to surface, some fry to cobalt, and two in-the-firing pings. H (of taller jug) 15".
