Three Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jars, Stamped "J. HEISER / BUFFALO, NY," circa 1852-1856, all of cylindrical form with applied handles and similar brushed floral motifs. Largest including a salt-glazed lid. Smallest in excellent condition with a glazed-over base chip on reverse. Two-gallon jar with a shallow chip to top of rim and a few small in-the-firing flaws. Three-gallon jar in excellent, essentially as-made condition. Lid with thin crack to edge, a 3" reglued piece to rim, a short line to edge, and three contact marks to top of lid. H (of largest) 12 1/4".
