Two-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jug with Pittsburgh, PA Advertising, Western PA origin, circa 1875, ovoid jug with tooled spout, featuring the stenciled cobalt advertising, "W.H. HOLMES & SON / WHOLESALE / LIQUOR / DEALERS / 154 FIRST AVE. / PITTSBURGH, PA." Excellent condition with two minor spout chips, one of which is glazed over. H 14 1/2".
