Unusual Glazed Redware Vase with Applied Foliate Decoration, American, late 19th century, large-sized, ovoid form with tall, flaring collar, the surface decorated with various coggled designs and numerous applied leaves. Heavy lead glaze to surface. A 1 1/8" x 9/16" flake to interior of rim and a small chip to interior of rim. Two small in-the-firing contact marks to top of rim. A minor 1/2" in-the-firing fissure to exterior of rim. H 14 1/2".
