Two Slip-Decorated Redware Plates, Berks County, PA origin, second half 19th century, both by the same maker, decorated in copper-flecked yellow slip, one with unusual tree design, the other with three wavy lines. Tree plate with minor edge chips and very shallow 1 5/8" surface flake to exterior. Other plate with two chips and wear to edge. Diam. (of tree-decorated plate) 7 1/4".
