Glazed Redware Spittoon, Stamped "JOHN BELL / WAYNESBORO'," PA origin, circa 1850-1880, with footed base, recessed opening on top, and oval opening at shoulder, the surface decorated with sponged manganese and covered in a clear lead glaze. Impressed on underside with John Bell maker's mark. Excellent condition with minor wear and some residue to exterior. H 4 1/2" ; Diam. 7 1/2".
