Three Gallon Salt-Glazed Stoneware Churn with Lid, Lid Stamped "W.H. HANCOCK," NC origin, fourth quarter century, narrow churn with flared collar and applied lug handles, incised under one handle with a large coggled "3." Included with this lot is a salt-glazed stoneware lid, stamped "W.H. HANCOCK," Moore County, NC origin. Churn in excellent condition with a shallow 5/8" rim chip and salt drips to surface. Lid with a chip to knob, two chips to edge, and a hairline extending from opening to rim. H (excluding lid) 17" ; Diam. (of lid) 6".
