Rare Two-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "JOHN B. PEWTRESS / PERTH AMBOY," NJ origin, circa 1830, highly-ovoid jug with squared spout, decorated with a large brushed floral motif. Cobalt highlights to maker's mark and capacity mark. Excellent condition with a small base chip and some light fry to cobalt. H 13 1/2".
