Rare One-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "HUMISTON & / STOCKWELL / S. AMBOY NJ", second quarter 19th century, ovoid jug with tapered spout molding, the front decorated with a brushed tulip motif. Cobalt highlights to maker's mark. Base chips. A smooth piece of adhered clay to handle. A 3/4" chip to top of spout. An in-the-firing contact mark below decoration.
