Three Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jugs, Beaver, PA origin, circa 1865-1880, a one-gallon jug, stenciled "S. JOHNSTON / & SON. / BEAVER, PA.;" a one-gallon jug with brushed foliate motif; and a one-and-a-half-gallon jug with brushed tulip motif. Johnston jug with wear to surface, one base chip, and a large T-shaped line to front shoulder area. Foliate-decorated jug with a horizontal hairline through handle and a large T-shaped crack on side/reverse, connecting to a spider crack on underside.
