Stoneware Canning Jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Western PA origin, circa 1875, tapered jar with rounded "wax sealer" rim, decorated with a large brushed fuchsia blossom. Freehand stripes to shoulder and base. Provenance: From a fifty-year collection. Restoration to underside. Restored 5" crack to left side of jar, extending from base. Minor nicks and wear to inner wax sealer rim. H 8 1/4".
