Three-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Incised Floral Decoration, Northeastern U.S. origin, circa 1800, highly-ovoid jug with semi-rounded spout, decorated with an incised and cobalt-highlighted floral motif haphazardly highlighted in cobalt. Cobalt highlights to handle terminals. A number of short lines to underside at edge, possibly in the firing. A few typical in-the-firing flaws to surface including a small piece of adhered clay to front. Base chips. Light surface wear.
