Half-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jar, Stenciled "Samuel Booker / Maysville, Ky.," circa 1875, semi-ovoid jar with tooled shoulder and semi-rounded rim, decorated with four freehand stripes and Samuel Booker maker's stenciling surrounding a central stenciled foliate device. Two small in-the-firing contact marks to surface, one on reverse and one on side. A small area of wear to exterior of rim and additional wear to interior of rim. Some grease residue to surface. H 8".
