Scarce Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Canning Jar with Stenciled Plow Motif and Maysville, KY Advertising, Western PA origin, circa 1875, tapered jar with semi-rounded "wax sealer" rim, featuring the stenciled advertising, "BIERBORER & CO. / STOVES / TINWARE & C. / 39 MARKET ST. / MAYSVILLE KY." Light wear to cobalt. Wear to inner rim for lid. A tiny nick to underside at edge. H 9 7/8".
