Scarce Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Canning Jar with Stenciled Apple Motif, Greensboro, PA origin, circa 1875 , cylindrical jar with tooled shoulder and semi-rounded "wax sealer" rim, decorated with a stenciled design of an apple hanging from a leafy branch. Heavy chipping to shoulder molding. A 1 1/8" rim chip on reverse. A few chips to inner wax sealer rim. H 8 1/4".
