Two Pieces of Kentucky Stoneware, American, circa 1860-1885, a two-gallon jar with stenciled cobalt maker's mark, "CATLETTSBURG. / POTTERY. CO.," John Dillon, J.W. Dillon, and Thomas Marr, Catlettsburg, KY, circa 1885; paired with a one-gallon semi-ovoid merchant jar, stamped "N. COOPER / MAYSVILLE, KY.," attributed to Henry K. Atchison, New Geneva, PA, circa 1860. Catlettsburg jar with a tight spider line on underside, extending 3 1/8" up front. N. Cooper jar in excellent condition with minor surface wear and painted highlight to impressed mark.
