Rare and Fine Miniature Glazed Redware Pitcher and Bowl Set, Stamped "JOHN BELL," Waynesboro, PA, circa 1840-1880, ovoid pitcher with dramatic, upswept spout and high-arching handle, the lead-glazed surface decorated with streaks of manganese over an olive and orange ground. Underside impressed "JOHN BELL." Includes unsigned John Bell bowl with footed base and delicately-formed rim, the lead-glazed surface also decorated in streaked manganese over an olive and orange ground. Pitcher in excellent condition with minor rim wear. Bowl with two 7/8" chips to edge of rim and a minor rim nick, in otherwise excellent condition, retaining a brilliant luster. H (of pitcher) 5" ; H (of bowl) 2" : Diam. (of bowl) 5 3/4".
