Alkaline-Glazed Stoneware Vase with Applied Decoration, Signed "Lanier Meaders," Cleveland, GA, circa 1975, ovoid form with flared collar, decorated on the front and reverse with an applied clay grape vine featuring a cluster of grapes and corkscrewing vines flanked by detailed leaves. Mottled glossy olive and matte "frogskin" coloration to glaze. The applied grapes and leaves are composed of a lighter-colored clay with lighter application of the glaze. Underside incised "Lanier Meaders." Excellent, essentially as-made condition. H 12 1/2".
