Three-Gallon Alkaline-Glazed Stoneware Churn, attributed to Cheever Meaders, Cleveland, GA, second quarter 20th century, semi-ovoid form with tooled shoulder, semi-squared rim, and applied strap handle, the surface covered in a mottled green alkaline glaze. Shoulder incised "3." Provenance: Ex-Georgeanna Greer Collection; Harmer Rooke Galleries, New York, NY. Essentially as-made condition with some in-the-firing dryness to surface and an in-the-firing ping near base.
