Very Rare Small-Sized Gettysburg, PA Stoneware Advertising Jug, attributed to Peter Herrmann, Baltimore, MD, circa 1875, cylindrical jug with tooled spout, featuring the impressed and cobalt-highlighted advertising, "FROM / WILLIAM J MARTIN / DEALER IN GROCERIES / LIQUORS &C / GETTYSBURG PA." The first Gettysburg, PA stoneware advertising jug that we have ever offered. Excellent, essentially as-made condition with two minor base chips that occurred in the firing. H 8".
