Four-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Baltimore, MD, circa 1870, ovoid jar with tooled shoulder, squared rim, and applied lug handles, decorated on the front and reverse with a two-stemmed clover plant motif. Cobalt highlights to handle terminals and a curving line of cobalt below each handle. Three rim chips and a small crack at top edge of rim. Two chips to one handle. A minor, glazed-over chip to opposite handle. Two small base chips.
