Two Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jugs, American, 19th century, an ovoid jug with cobalt foliate decorations, stamped "COWDEN & WILCOX / HARRISBURG, PA," circa 1865, paired with a highly-ovoid jug with floral motif, stamped "G. BRAYTON & CO. / UTICA, NY," circa 1835. Cowden & Wilcox jug with large stained area to right side, a small glazed-over spout chip, other minor spout chips, a short horizontal line in spout, a 1 3/8" base chip, and a small in-the-firing surface chip to side of jug. Brayton jug in excellent, essentially as-made condition.
