Stoneware Stump-Form Planter, Stamped "F.B. NORTON & CO / WORCESTER, MASS," circa 1870, molded planter in the form of a tree stump with ivy and five openings for planting. Surface decorated with Albany and covered in a clear salt glaze. Traces of painted green highlights to ivy. Underside impressed with F.B. Norton & Co. maker's mark. Small edge chips. A tight Y-shaped line on underside. H 14".
