One-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Drape Decoration, attributed to Clarkson Crolius, Sr., Manhattan, NY, circa 1810, ovoid jar with footed base and heavily-tooled shoulder, decorated with a brushed drape-and-tassel motif accented with spots. A chipped area to base. Two smooth in-the-firing contact marks to body.
